Chocolate Birthday

Chocolate buttercream!
Yellow cake was in there, but I don't think anyone noticed it.
The flowers and leaves were made with royal icing.

July 4th

This is a "tiny" cake: single layer, 6 inch round.  The perfect size for a holiday get together!
It is yellow cake with buttercream icing.

Train #2

This train was for another niece's 3rd birthday.
Each car is a different cake flavor with buttercream and fondant.
The major difference between this train and the first train I did is the theme.  "A" wanted Minnie Mouse.
Her mom found the little characters to place on the cake
and I got a little better at building an engine out of cake!

Trains

This cake was for my niece's 3rd birthday.  I have to admit here that it was my first attempt at a train.  But she loved it even though I saw lots of flaws!
I used several different cake flavors, buttercream, and marshmallow fondant.
As you can see, I was brave enough to tint the fondant with liquid food dye. (Don't forget gloves!)
